In Age of Dungeons, you can acquire curses which hinder you by taking up an inventory slot as well as additional debuffs. Curses can be prayed away and have a chance of being dropped upon death.

On the off chance that you have a full inventory of curses or soulbound items, you will be set at 1 HP and be told: "You feel yet another curse try to afflict you, but you simply cannot be cursed any further. You feel horribly ill."

Known Curses[edit]

Growing Pains - "Bigger isn't always better." Acquired by increasing size 21 times or more using legendary sword Feast and Famine. 15% more damage from all sources.

Mind Toxin - "Sickness of the body is simple to treat. Sickness of the mind is an enigma." Acquired by being grabbed (touch damage only, claw attacks won't count) by the Mantis miniboss on floors 4+. Causes poison to reduce mana alongside health.

Cursed Wounds - "Only divine intervention can heal these wounds." Can be granted by gaining 100+ curse. Reduces max health by 100. This effect can be granted multiple times.

Curse Burns - "Only some divine intervention can heal these burns." Can be granted by gaining 100+ curse. Reduces max mana by 100. This effect can be granted multiple times.

Curse of Delirium - "With the mind abound with confusion, focus is impossible." Can be granted by gaining 100+ curse. Reduces mana regen by 25%. This effect can be granted multiple times.

Curse of Burden - "Curses are heavy burdens." Can be granted by gaining 100+ curse. Takes up an inventory slot. This effect can be granted multiple times.

Curse of Frailty - No description. Can be granted by gaining 100+ curse. Take 10% more damage from ALL sources. This effect can be granted multiple times.

Removed Curses[edit]

Mana Shock - "Too much mana isn't very good for you." Acquired by overcharging mana to more than double your max mana, then drinking a mana potion. -75% mana regeneration. Removal reason: Mana drain from being overcharged now increases exponentially as you overcharge further, making it impossible to overcharge by too much.

COVID-19 - "This is no laughing matter." This curse was obtained via a player cursed with COVID-19 clicking another player who did not have the curse. The curse was initially given to a single player at random, and spread on its own from there. Players who had the curse only suffered from having one inventory slot taken up by the curse. There were unconfirmed rumors that the curse also reduced the amount of EXP a player gained. Removal reason: April Fools' joke.

Demon's Mark - "Your soul is forfeit." Acquired upon purchasing Gram. Deducts 350 max health. Removal reason: Gram is now obtained in a different manner than a mere deal.

Sarmina's Vengence - No quote. Acquired upon killing another player whose karma status is not orange or red, and is 10 levels lower than you. The curse can be acquired multiple times. Players with this curse take 50% more damage from light magic, such as Sunburst. This debuff stacks effectiveness with each additional copy of the curse the player has. Removal reason: PvP has been disabled.

Broken Wings - "Sarmina relinquishes her blessings upon you." Acquired on becoming chaotic while having Holy Knight Armor present in your inventory. Max HP decreased by 300 and Max Mana by 500. Removal reason: Holy Knight Armor no longer requiring the player to have a lawful alignment.
