There are three entities that are prevalent over the dungeons in AoD. By currying favor with them by sacrificing items or paying tithes at their altars, players can tap into various forms of assistance by their deity in the dungeon.

The three deities are:

Sarmina, the deity of those who are Lawful. The goddess who ensures law and order in the world, Sarmina's appearance is "nondescript".

Sekhmet, the deity of those who are Neutral. Referred to as a wanderer amongst worlds, Sekhmet oft takes the appearance of a "nyan-binary cat".

þamorik, the deity of those who are Chaotic. An "evil chaos mage in a tower somewhere with godlike power", þamorik's main objective with the dungeon is unknown, but seems to be the reason for FrostFire Mage's and Dark Wraith's appearance in the dungeon.

Each deity has a preference when fulfilling certain prayers and will fulfill those prayers without using up more of the player's alignment points.

Sarmina prefers prayers regarding curse removal and has high alignment costs for crafting or "crowning". Sarmina has the shortest prayer cooldown of only 20 seconds.

Sekhmet prefers requests for healing or food and has no general downside with prayers. Sekhmet has a prayer cooldown of 40 seconds.

þamorik prefers prayers regarding crafting or crowning, but has high alignment costs for most everything else. þamorik has the longest prayer cooldown of 120 Seconds.

Prayer Power[edit]

Prayer Power is what allows players to successfully pray. When using an altar of any alignment, if the player's prayer power is less than 100%, they can pay a tithe to restore it to 100%. Each prayer has their own Prayer Power value.

Healing[edit]

Praying for healing will help the player in a pinch for instant health. Healing values varies on how much piety the player has. (/pray healing) For the prayer to be successful, the player must have less than 50% HP. This prayer uses 75% of the player's Prayer Power. Healing is calculated as such:

  1. If the player's piety is less than 70, they will be healed for 50HP.
  2. If the player's piety is less than 700, they will be healed for 100HP.
  3. If the player's piety is greater than or equal to 700, they will be healed for 500HP.

These prayers as Neutral are 2.3x cheaper than Lawful, while these prayers as Chaotic are 2.14x more expensive than Lawful. Piety costs are as such:

Lawful: 7 piety, 14 piety, 140 piety respectively

Neutral: 3 piety, 6 piety, 60 piety respectively

Chaotic: 15 piety, 30 piety, 300 piety respectively

Food[edit]

Praying for food is more piety effective than healing, but requires the player to wait for the full healing. The Food item varies on how much the piety the player has. (/pray food) For the prayer to be successful, the player must have less than 90% HP. This prayer uses 25% of the player's Prayer Power. The Food item is calculated as such:

  1. If the player's piety is less than 15, they will be given a small food item.
  2. If the player's piety is less than 150, they will be given a medium food item.
  3. If the player's piety is greater than or equal to 150, they will be given a large food item.

These prayers as Neutral are 3x cheaper than Lawful, while these prayers as Chaotic are 2x more expensive than Lawful. Piety costs are as such:

Lawful: 1.5 piety, 4.5 piety, 30 piety respectively

Neutral: 0.5 piety, 1.5 piety, 10 piety respectively

Chaotic: 3 piety, 9 piety, 60 piety respectively

Poison[edit]

Praying for a cure for poison can mostly or entirely remove the player's poison stacks. (/pray for a cure to poison) This prayer uses 50% of the player's Prayer Power. Calculations are as such:

  1. If the player's piety is less than 15 and the player has less than or equal to 20 stacks of poison, they are cured of poison.
  2. If the player's piety is less than 100 and the player has less than or equal to 40 stacks of poison, they are cured of poison.
  3. If the player's piety is greater than or equal to 100, they will be cured of 120 poison stacks.

These prayers as Neutral are 2.5x cheaper than Lawful, while these prayers as Chaotic are 2.2x more expensive than Lawful. Piety costs are as such:

Lawful: 5 piety, 15 piety, 100 piety respectively

Neutral: 2 piety, 6 piety, 40 piety respectively

Chaotic: 11 piety, 33 piety, 220 piety respectively

Curses[edit]

Curses can be removed via prayers, but only by one at a time. (/pray remove curse) This prayer uses 100% of the player's Prayer Power. Piety costs are as such:

Lawful: 100 piety

Neutral: 200 piety

Chaotic: 300 piety

Crafting[edit]

Whilst in the dungeon, players can come across various items through miniboss/boss drops. Serving no immediate purpose to the player, if they're able to keep a hold of it for long enough and has a combination of items in their inventory, they can combine multiple items to create substantially stronger items. (/pray crafting) This prayer uses 25% of the player's Prayer Power. Piety costs are as such:

Lawful: 500 piety

Neutral: 250 piety

Chaotic: 100 piety

Crowning[edit]

Crowns provide a strong passive effect at the cost of initial piety and piety drain. (/pray crowning) Crowns also take up one of the player's inventory slots, and are soulbound.

Lawful: Crown of Protection: Provides a 100HP shield that refreshes every 5 seconds. The shield is unaffected by armor. This crown drains the player's piety at a rate of 0.03 piety/second. Initial piety cost is ~6200, but will only consume 6000.

Neutral: Crown of Thorns: Doubles and reflects any damage taken by the wearer. Additionally, when you heal, you gain a shield for 15 seconds equal to half the healing. The shield is unaffected by armor. This crown drains the player's piety at a rate of 0.02 piety/second. Initial piety cost is ~4200, but will only consume 4000.

Chaotic: Crown of Storms: Spawns an electric projectile, on kill, and will attempt to hit another nearby enemy. There is a rare chance for any of your attacks to summon a lightning strike. This crown drains the player's piety at a rate of 0.01 piety/second. Initial piety cost is ~2200, but will only consume 2000.

Crowns disappear if the player's piety drains to 0. Crowns may also disappear on death.

Players may only possess one crown at a time.
