Editing Prayer



There are three entities that are prevalent over the dungeons in AoD. By currying favor with them by sacrificing [[items]] or paying tithes at their altars, players can tap into various forms of assistance by their deity in the dungeon.

The three deities are:

<span style="color:blue;">Sarmina</span><!--or Sardomina (in v1.1)-->, the deity of those who are ''Lawful''. The goddess who ensures law and order in the world, Sarmina's appearance is "nondescript".

<span style="color:orange;">Sekhmet</span><!--or Gruthik (in v1.1)-->, the deity of those who are ''Neutral''. Referred to as a wanderer amongst worlds, Sekhmet oft takes the appearance of a "nyan-binary cat".

<span style="color:magenta;>þamorik</span><!--or þämôríç (in v1.1)-->, the deity of those who are ''Chaotic''. An "evil chaos mage in a tower somewhere with godlike power", þamorik's main objective with the dungeon is unknown, but seems to be the reason for FrostFire Mage's and Dark Wraith's appearance in the dungeon.

Each deity has a preference when fulfilling certain prayers and will fulfill those prayers without using up more of the player's alignment points. <span style="color:blue;">Sarmina</span> prefers prayers regarding curse removal and has high alignment costs for crafting or "crowning". <span style="color:orange;">Sekhmet</span> prefers requests for healing or food and has no general downside with prayers. <span style="color:magenta;>þamorik</span> prefers prayers regarding crafting or crowning, but has high alignment costs for most everything else.

<span style="color:blue";>Lawful</span>: Crown of Protection: Provides a 100HP shield that refreshes every 5 seconds. The shield is unaffected by armor. This crown drains the player's piety at a rate of 0.03 piety/second. Initial piety cost is ~6200, but will only consume 6000.

<span style="color:orange;">Neutral</span>: Crown of Thorns: Doubles and reflects any damage taken by the wearer. Additionally, when you heal, you gain a shield for 15 seconds equal to half the healing. The shield is unaffected by armor. This crown drains the player's piety at a rate of 0.02 piety/second. Initial piety cost is ~4200, but will only consume 4000.

<span style="color:magenta";>Chaotic</span>: Crown of Storms: Spawns an electric projectile, on kill, and will attempt to hit another nearby enemy. There is a rare chance for any of your attacks to summon a lightning strike. This crown drains the player's piety at a rate of 0.01 piety/second. Initial piety cost is ~2200, but will only consume 2000.

Crowns disappear if the player's piety drains to 0. Crowns may also disappear on death.

Players may only possess one crown at a time.
