There are 5 melee weapon tiers. Each scaling in strength, from weakest to strongest, there is Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, and Adamantite.

In each melee weapon tier, there are also different weapon types that have different strengths, again weakest to strongest is Dagger, Shortsword, Battleaxe, and Longsword. After 1.2 update was released, all of these swords received new updates, special abilities don't show on melee weapons that have them and instead of using energy, they are using cooldown. In order to activate these abilities, you must wear any type of melee armor.

Dagger - has most DPS over all swords but lacks range

- Shoots 3 daggers. Damage is based on material tier.

Shortsword - still remains the same but has equip animation which lasts for ~1.5 seconds

- Hold out a shield which will block all incoming projectiles.

Longsword - has equip animation which lasts for ~2.5 seconds before you can use it, has long range over every sword

- no special ability

Battleaxe - it can hit multiple targets

- no special ability

Additionally, there are Legendary Swords.

Melee Armor

Can be bought at spawn from the armor shop. As well as Tier 2 armor (Cuircass) is an uncommon drop from Bosses.
