Burning is a debuff which deals a predetermined amount of damage over the life of the debuff. While the burning debuff is active, the afflicted has all incoming healing reduced by 50%. Burning debuffs will be immediately removed if the afflicted is submerged in water.
There is a limit of 8 active burning debuffs on any individual entity. When this limit is breached, the oldest burning debuff will instantly deal the remainder of its damage and is then removed.
Burning damage ignores armor and most other damage modifiers.
