Burning is a debuff which deals a predetermined amount of damage over the life of the debuff. While the burning debuff is active, the afflicted has all incoming healing reduced by 50%. Burning debuffs will be immediately removed if the afflicted is submerged in water.
There is a limit of 8 active burning debuffs on any individual entity. When this limit is breached, the oldest burning debuff will *instantly* deal the remainder of its damage and is then removed.
Burning damage ignores armor and most other damage modifiers.
