Just another minor patch. I have more ambitious changes in the works to address curses, but I have not had time to work on those changes yet.


Minor changes
- Added an extra free starting bank slot. Everyone will have an extra bank slot, and this extra slot does not affect the pricing of bank upgrades.
- Added a small 'step' in the moat next to each bridge to help players jump out of the water.
- Fixed some other minor issues in the town build
- Linearly increased the price and effect of EXP potions by x5. This does not affect their gold to EXP ratios, but should help high level players be able to spend gold on EXP a bit faster. Hopefully this helps maintain their sanity.
- Fix players getting stuck in a wall after recalling or spawning.
- Made some changes to and fixed an exploit with a certain new legendary.

I would love for the fountain to both heal your health and your mana, I always find it a bit of a slog having to wait for my mana to fully recover before I can head out again.

Another mission or datablock related crash today. Logged into the server for the first time since a lag death last week...opened a room on F2 and was hit with some kind of critical error which I've never encountered before...it was too fast to catch since it completely closed BL.

The server treated it as a death. I lost most items and one XP level.

Love the new features Pecon...it's encouraging to see active development. But there are still some issues.

I think a shrine, chaotic, neutral, or lawful, should remove curses. Very Very Very rarely. All but Gram. If you only have gram curse it should say something like "This curse is too powerful to remove." (At this moment)

This is completely wrong. All buffs and debuffs are lost on death, and your max HP and mana are returned to what they would have been had you only gained it via level-ups.

-add player chests to spider and troll

i actually agree that the pk changes are too harsh except this:

you, impanda and your copycats would literally sit on top of spawn and murder level 5s or as they tried to leave unless they used the orb. the guards exist now to tell you to fuck off. personally the orb already fixes that problem, but new players don't know that and were the majority of players that i saw dying because they didn't think to use it.
that guard AI change is absolutely necessary. even if you put some around corners, the goal is to tell you to fuck off.

everything else sucks. i dislike the punishment for killing people too low a level than you entirely, including the bot sunbursting. low levels already will preserve nearly everything important to them the moment they get pked and the punishments for dying have already been scaled back a ton. its at the point to where you get things like Gram where pking becomes a major bitch, as if you die you'll lose something you worked hours for and have a permanent punishment attached (dying with Gram only gives 150 back, compared to the 350 he steals). means you have to be extra careful when you see pkers, especially when they inevitably have morons worshiping them and bodyblocking for them.
pking is part of what makes the game fun and seeing it punished this harshly sucks. the spoils of slaughtering a level 1 will be paltry as he doesn't have anything to lose to begin with. yet for whatever reason, killing one results in you losing a ton of max HP + max mana, getting cursed, and sunbursted.
the problem entirely was pkers hiding in spawn and jumping at people, basically meaning you used the orb or a pker much higher level than you would guaranteed jump you.

i suggested this in the discord, but it would be better if player killers spawned in their own town. said town could have hiked prices, no guards at all, or even potentially no orb. this basically means that if a pker ever recalls or dies, they now are stuck in that town until they get their alignment off of chaotic. if there's no orb then that creates the ultimate situation of irony, as now the most convenient places where pkers can rampjump and attack people is towards other pkers.
or you could preserve the orb because you think it's too harsh, after all prices are still hiked. or you could even give them a specialized orb which sends them in close to another player (perhaps even check to put them around their same level), which i think would help out pkers when all they really want to do is get into pvp fights.
overall this sounds better to me than having a bot randomly blow you up with sunburst and accomplishes the same goal as the guards: stop people from hiding in town and pking noobs who don't use the orb. it also somewhat fixes the goal of that one guy who heals the pkers in combat or bodyblocks for them as those guys will now be separated.
i dunno why pkers are so vilified and punished when its a thing the game is designed for deliberately.
